On Sunday the 7th February we had the unveiling of Seán MacDiarmada Plaque and launch of Seán MacDiarmada song in Kiltyclogher . This plaque is funded by the County Leitrim Society of Boston and the Seán MacDiarmada Commemoration Committee. Our Committee are delighted to have our Leitrim diaspora involved in this event. Mick Blake well known song writer launched his composition Seán MacDiarmada at the event which was commissioned by Joe McManus.
The Plaque was unveiled by Seaán MacDiarmada’s three grand nieces from Donegal, Belfast and Connemara and kiltyclogher native Jim Dillon. Jim was one of the organisers of the 1966 commemorations.
